2022 Winter Newsletter
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
As this year wraps up, we at Tasse/Crowley want to wish everyone the merriest of Christmases and a happy, healthy and more normal 2022. We would like to thank you for your continued support, and as a gift to you, we have stick-on calendars and wall calendars for the new year. You can ask your delivery driver for one or visit the 8 Mill Street office to pick one up.
Winter Oil Prices
You may have heard that heating oil supplies for this winter are tight, resulting in per-gallon prices over $3. If we get a prolonged cold snap it’s possible prices will go higher. Customers who have taken advantage of our Cap Program are guaranteed prices that will stay below their contracted amount through the heating season. If you are interested in this program for 2022-23, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us or check our website in the spring.
Protecting your tank
We have seen several older tanks fail in the past year. An oil release from your tank can lead to an expensive clean-up. Here are things you can do to protect against this happening in your home:
Fuel Assistance
If you need help with your oil, propane, or pellet bill this winter, the following agencies may be able to help you or someone you know if you meet the participation requirements:

New England Farmer Workers Council - 978-342-4520

Propane
Do you have propane? We do! For our customers who use heating oil and propane, there is a $0.05 per gallon multi-fuel discount. Call our office today to discuss changing your propane to Tasse/Crowley Fuel.
Office Hours
The North Brookfield office at 8 Mill Street will be open from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays. This change in hours results from staffing issues, and we thank you for your patience. You can always reach our Southbridge office by calling 508-867-6740. PLEASE NOTE: Our offices will be closed on Friday, December 24 and Friday, December 31. The Emergency Call Line will still be available, as always.
Mass Save
Many of our customers have taken advantage of the Mass Save program. The Utilities establish this to help offset the cost of energy-saving improvements. They offer applicants rebates and zero-percent loans for energy-based improvements made in your home. We can help you access these programs, contact us or reach out to their website, www.masssave.com/saving/residential-rebates/heat-loan-program
Wood Pellets
This year, the demand for wood pellets is high, and some retailers have not been able to restock their supply of certain brands. We have been able to keep up with our customers' demands and currently have a good supply in our yard. We expect you to call us for your pellet needs throughout the winter. Pellets can be picked up in North Brookfield or delivered to your home.

We have seen several older tanks fail in the past year. An oil release from your tank can lead to an expensive clean-up. Here are things you can do to protect against this happening in your home:
- Take advantage of our OTAP (Oil Tank Assurance Program), see details on our website;
- Get a rider on your Homeowner's Insurance Policy for your oil tank;
- Replace your oil tank with one that is double-walled;
- If you ever smell oil in your home, check out this source immediately – this can prevent a minor oil release from becoming catastrophic.
